As part of the “Dialogue of the Mujawara Community – From Lived Experiences to a Shared Issue” track, the Ahl Al-Mujawara participants in Deir al-Balah have embarked on a new stage of their journey towards strengthening community participation.

They came together in the Mujawara space, sharing their experiences, ideas, personal encounters, and the questions that occupy their minds and shape their everyday lives at this stage. They brought these experiences into the space for dialogue, listening to one another and exchanging perspectives and reflections.

As the dialogue unfolded, young participants shared some of their personal experiences and used them as a starting point to discuss issues that matter to their community and explore their different dimensions. The discussion addressed the root causes of these issues, their impact, the stakeholders involved, as well as the resources and capacities available within the community.

Through this exchange, the young participants began developing a shared understanding of the issues raised, paving the way for selecting a community issue they wish to continue working on throughout this track.

This journey unfolds across three dialogue-based Mujawara gatherings, during which participants continue exploring the common threads that connect their stories, leading towards a shared issue they collectively choose to address.

Here, every story carries knowledge about life as experienced by those who live it. Bringing these stories together creates an opportunity to see a broader picture. With every gathering, the young participants gradually shape a clearer understanding of the issues they believe deserve to be questioned, explored, and addressed collectively.
