Bozour Theater

We arrange the cushions beneath the olive tree, remembering those who once sat here: their stories, their questions, and the words that stayed with us long after they left. Then, we make room for those yet to come, bringing a little of their own world into the gathering.

We return to the place and find traces of those we have met within it. Here, a story helped us see something we had overlooked. There, a question continues to occupy our thoughts. Some encounters stay with us; long after they end, we find ourselves continuing a conversation within, one that someone else first began.

What does the “Mujawara for People” team look forward to?

We look forward to the people of Mujawara and to all that we will discover alongside them. We hope that someone finds the words to express what has been on their mind as they speak, while another comes to understand something about their own life through listening. And that, among our different experiences, we discover something worth carrying together and taking action for.

As we bring the cushions closer together, we reflect on the distance that remains between one person and another. How much time does it take to truly know someone beyond our first impression of them? Do we listen closely enough to allow them to introduce themselves on their own terms, to remain different from us while still being close to us?

Each time, we prepare the space, leaving room for its people to change something within it, and within us. Perhaps this is where Mujawara begins: when another person's presence leaves a mark on the way we see life and live it together.
