Bozour Theater

Buzoor Theatre Association for Culture and Arts conducted a training session for the team of the “Mujawara for People” community space in Deir al-Balah, as part of the preparations ahead of the space’s opening and welcoming community members.

The training was held as part of the “Mujawara for People” initiative, which aims to strengthen community participation through theatre, arts, and safe spaces. The initiative falls under the Gaza Stability Enhancement Response Project, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme / Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People (UNDP/PAPP), in cooperation with Buzoor Theatre Association for Culture and Arts.

The session was led by Saeed Abu Ghazeh, Gaza Programmes Director at Mujawara for Life and Development. It focused on strengthening the team’s understanding of safeguarding policies and safe conduct, with an emphasis on respecting the dignity, privacy, and personal boundaries of others.

The training included a series of practical exercises that helped the team apply safeguarding principles in their daily practices. These covered responsible communication with community members, respecting privacy and personal boundaries, the responsible use of photography and storytelling, and promoting safety within the space and its activities.

This training is part of the preparations for the opening of “Mujawara for People,” contributing to the establishment of a community space grounded in respect, responsibility, and safety.
